Set Document Signee Right on The Page

Fresh Proposals allows users as well as clients to sign the document by clicking on the signature box assigned to them. If you are keeping track of updates, you would have noticed this. Your clients are already using it. In this update, we have enabled you to set document signatory right on the page. While you could always assign the signee by clicking on the signature box and on the right side panel set signee for it. This enhancement will enable you to set signee right where you see the signature box in the proposal/ template/ section editor.

 

While almost all of the existing users know how to set signee, we noticed few newly registered users who were not familiar with the editor, have moving around to set signee. While this wasn’t a problem when they used templates already available in the tool; but for those users, who wanted to create their own templates, or upload existing PDF and drag-drop signatures to the document will find this enhancement useful. Now you can quickly set the signee to signature box.

New Document Templates

We have added  a new set of document templates and updated few existing one in the list.

If you are not aware, you can create various kinds of business document in Fresh Proposals software such as proposals, contracts, agreements, engagement letters, offer letters, client sign-off, quotes or custom one. The tool provide pre-made document templates for most of these template categories.

 

Timestamp for activity in the timeline

The tool started capturing various events related to your documents. It will display the timeline view : lifecycle stages with corresponding timestamp. The idea is to provide you much precise timeline view of your proposal.

These timestamp are also going to be used to calculate advanced analytics, insights associated with the sales document lifecycle stages. If you noticed, in the previous update, we enabled ‘Payment First’ type of option for users who wants to collect payment before client can accept/sign the proposal; and previous update started displaying changed lifecycle stages in the timeline view. This update will start displaying timestamp for all of its important states/ activities as and when those happen.

 

Document lead displayed on the proposal card

The card view for proposals will now display the name of the proposal lead along with its profile image. Earlier tool used to display the proposal creator on the card. This wasn’t the most useful information; hence we changed it to display the proposal lead. While this wasn’t an issue where creator was the same person managing proposals in its account, with a team setup, it became important to identify and display who is leading the proposal from your side. We introduced “Proposal Lead’ role in last quarter and now, with this update you will see proposal lead information on the card as well.

 

Introduced ‘Item Type: Product or Service’ for Fee (Accounting software integration)

While this update doesn’t impact most users, we have introduced ‘Item Type’ field for fees. The fee item can be either product or service. Once you have accounting software integration enabled, you will be able to set, use this field for a fee item.

Bug Fixes

There are multiple issues we fixed as part of the last update. Here is the list of selected few.

• Proposals list if scrolled very quickly, would display no proposals in the list – Fixed
• For those connecting Stripe for the first time last week faced issue and were displayed error message – Fixed
• Payment option was displayed for clients if Stripe was connected but proposal has zero value – Fixed
• Discount name in the regular fees table wasn’t displayed properly – Fixed
• Custom branding for workspace: Favicon of a sub-account /workspace wasn’t displayed  – Fixed

 

Quick Recap of (Previous) September 2022 Update

We released Sept 2022 update of Fresh Proposals software; we introduced ‘Payment First’ for users who want to collect advance payment before proposal is signed/accepted; updated date-picker component so that clients will see calendar information in their respective languages (25+)  and also included new document templates. And there are many more enhancements like save signature with role to snippet, email notification for Stripe Payment attempts, additional standard fields/variables and bug fixes.
