Fresh Proposals Software Update – November 2022

Most of the update in this month have been about enhancement of existing features and bug fixes.

Section details can be opened using section listing as well

While checking section information in proposal or template editor, it wasn’t obvious for many users that they can click on the section name to open its properties panel. We introduced a sub-menu on sections listing which can be accessed by clicking on the ellipsis (three dots). You will be able to view ‘Section Details’ in it. Clicking on this menu will display properties of a given section on the right side panel. It will also open the section to view (if it isn’t open already).

 

 

Tiered pricing sizing defaulted to 90% on the editor page

Tiered pricing package when drag-dropped to the page in the editor occupies complete width of the page. We reduced the default width (and overall size) of the tiered pricing package on the page to 90% of the original one. Again, it is configurable, if you want to change it back to 100% or 120% or even 60% you can do it using the option in the right side properties panel.

Updating section name in the editor is improved

While users always have two options to update section name in the proposal or template editor. Clicking on the section name on the left side would open its properties panel on the right. You can edit the section name in this panel.

While the other use case is when you want to change the section name on the sections list itself without opening the section pages or properties.

This use case has been supported from the beginning, we knew it wasn’t smooth. In fact it was glitchy. Typical usage would be, selecting the section name with mouse. The moment someone used mouse to select text by click-drag pointer, it would move the section as if user is trying to reorder the section list.

We knew this wasn’t what user is trying to do and few framework related issues were causing this. It is now fixed and you should be able to update the section name without much efforts.

Currency displayed for a preview in Tiered pricing listing: displays currency of account

As more users are trying out the tiered pricing packages, we got a feedback that default currency of each tiered pricing package displayed in the listing preview is US dollar and not the account’s local currency. While it is just a listing preview (would be calculated anywhere in your proposal or templates or account sales numbers), we understand the urge to see these numbers in your own currency.

Now tiered pricing packages preview will display the currency as per the default currency set in you account.

Improved document signing experience on mobile

We have tweaked the signing experience on mobile, tablet. While there are clients who have signed signed proposals using mobile type of handheld devices, we still see some room to improve and we will make the signing experience better for you and your clients.

 

Other bug Fixes

There are multiple issues we fixed as part of the last update. Here is the list of selected few.

• Updating section name: use mouse to select name, earlier it would drag the section – fixed
• Squashed an issue with Page analytics attributed to specific viewing intervals – Fixed
• Distorted thumbnail displayed in the emailer preview for new onboarding user – Fixed
• Broken HTML in client view if proposal is expired – Fixed
• Advanced tiered pricing style – two decimal displayed for regular numbers – Fixed
• CreateClient, CreateProposalFromTemplate actions to accept custom fields value using Zapier integrator
• Section versioning: If current section version with more number of page is being replaced by another version with lesser number of pages; resulting section will keep additional blank pages (and vice versa) – Fixed
• Thumbnail regeneration for cover page if viewed in proposal summary – Fixed
• If the total of all proposals value in the advanced dashboard is less than 1K and it contains fraction, instead of two decimals, it would display up to four decimal points by default – Fixed

 

Quick Recap of (Previous) October 2022 Update

We released October 2022 update of Fresh Proposals software; we enabled assigning signee right on the signature box, improved the timestamp displayed on the timeline flow in proposal summary, document lead to be displayed on the proposal card, introduced ‘Item Type’ as additional field to identify whether a given item is product or service in the fees table. Plus there are few bug squashed in this update.
