We released multiple features, enhancements and bug fixes to Fresh Proposals software in this months, listing some of those here.

 

Copy block to next/ previous page

It happened to few users who added a content-block to a page, worked on it only to realized that they incorrectly added it to a different page. Yes, there was an option to add this block to snippet library and re-use to desired page. But it was not idea; hence we introduced this enhancement.

Now you can copy a content block from current page to next page or previous page.

Just revisit/remind: You can also do a similar thing by adding a content block to snippet library and then reusing snippet library to add the block to any desired page in the document

Reorganized Fees library layout

Fee library is a pretty useful feature (reusable content library in general is very useful, to improve productivity, reduce errors).

Creating a new fee table or updating existing one using fee library is lot quicker and easier than adding new fee item from scratch. There are users who would start adding fee items in the fee library. Reviewing fees with lengthy descriptions was bit challenging if you are looking at those in the Fee library.

We have updated its layout. Fee library UI in section library is reorganized to display fee title and description correctly.

Set payment gateway options at template level

Previously there was one payment gateway integration option available for users. So its default configuration at account level worked fine whenever users created a new proposal.

Recently we introduced integration with CPACharge payment gateway for accounting professionals in US and Canada. Few users have both payment gateways configured and activated. To set payment gateway between Stripe and CPACharge, especially when you are creating a proposal using template, we have introduced a new preference at template level.

Now you can set payment gateway and related payment preference at template level so that you/team members do not need to set those values each time you create a proposal.

Blocks in section – highlighter, change in menu

Fresh proposals has an interesting ‘Blocks in Section’ feature 🙂

For those having too many blocks in close vicinity, and wanted to rearrange those blocks, this feature is pretty handy. We have introduced highlighter and updated clicks-menu for a better user experience.

Also, previously clicking on the content-block here open block properties and you would loose access to block-list; this update will keep you on the list even if you click on the block-name. Of course you have a choice to open content-block property but it is available on those three-dots.

 

Reorganized variables UI – shows only used variables in the document

For those users with significant number of proposal custom variables, we have reorganized the custom variable tab in proposal editor.  With this update, we have provided a filter to display only the list of proposal custom variables used in the document, instead of listing them all at once.

1. You can expand the view (made available in the previous update)
2. You can search for a matching proposal custom variable (made available in the previous update)
3. You can filter custom variables to display only those used in the document (introduced recently)

Add client in the proposal wizard

Adding a new client in proposal wizard was previously available (not common feat but it was available); since we updated proposal creation wizard last year, the option to create a new clients in proposal wizard was unavailable due to UI legacy issue. Few users wanted to add new client after creating a proposal. We revisited and reworked this feature.

Display labels/tabs in the proposal summary page as per the document type

You will be able to view document type in the proposal summary page. Tabs displayed on this page will have document type label included.

Packaged pricing: Display tier description below price

Now you can place tier description below price. Option displayed in the first step now enables you to set the position of tier description: above tier-price or below tier-price

Stripe payment success/failure email: Display payment type, payment gateway

Last month, we introduced integration with CPACharge payment gateway for accounting professionals in US and Canada. Some users have both payment gateway configured in their account. When they receive payment, they would like to know which payment gateway was used to accept payment (without opening proposal properties/ summary). We made it easier for you.

Now emails notifications received by proposers have information about payment type used, payment gateway used by clients.

Stripe integration page: display information like account id, default currency,

To clearly identify the Stripe account connected to your Fresh Proposals account, we have started displaying specific information about the connecting Stripe account. It is particularly helpful for those working on multiple-workspaces for their business and connected different Stripe account to Fresh Proposals workspace separately.

Proposals, templates, sections listing : landscape oriented document thumbnail will not appear squeezed

We have updated the listing of proposals, templates and sections to display thumbnails of landscape oriented documents without changing its aspect ratio or cropping to existing space. At a glance you will understand page orientation of a proposal documents in your account.

Same thing goes for templates listing as well as sections listing. At a glance you will understand the page orientation without opening it.

Updated tooltip for Default Contact role in proposal wizard/ editor/summary

Bug Fixes

• Unsplash image library column issue – Fixed

You can drag-drop images from Unsplash in the Fresh Proposals document editor. The layout that shows Unsplash images was partly broken and was displaying images in two columns only. It was a minor glitch but it is fixed.

• Tiered pricing preview in library would add dark background color – Fixed
• Onboarding steps: Preview of templates listing – stretched thumbnails- Fixed
• Renaming snippet in Snippet Library would add a code with name – Fixed
